The Plain Dealer is a major Cleveland, Ohio newspaper featured in The Rocky Horror Picture Show. In the film, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, after announcing their engagement, travel from Denton to visit Dr. Everett Von Scott. Janet is seen reading a copy of the newspaper with the headline "6 BIG OHIO UTILITIES SEEKING RATE BOOSTS". The prop used in the film is based on a non-headline article published by The Plain Dealer on October 7, 1974. Janet uses the newspaper to cover her head during "Over At The Frankenstein Place".
