Shock Treatment LP Cover with Rocky Horror Sticker

The Shock Treatment Soundtrack LP was released on Ode Records, and distributed by Warner Bothers in 1981 on both vinyl and cassette. An alternate version of the title track with a picture-sleeve was released simultaneously as a 7" single. Because of the fleeting theatrical release, the LP went out of print quickly, though it was issued in Italy in 1983.

In 1994, the album resurfaced on CD for the first time on Ode via a distribution deal with Rhino Records, though a few cuts from the collection had appeared previously on the Songs From The Vaults (A Collection Of Rocky Horror Rarities) disc that was included The Rocky Horror Picture Show 15th Anniversary Box Set in 1990.

The LP was distributed by JEM Records after an Ode/Warner Brothers distribution deal expired for it's initial release. The CD is currently out of print.
