Richard Gifford
Richard Gifford was an American Rocky Horror fan. His first exposure to Rocky Horror was during the Summer of 1979. He quickly became a regular participant with a loosely organized group of fans known as The Riverside Rockys. On November 1, 1979, he, along with Julie Ford, Vid Kadavre, and Troy Martin founded Erotic Nightmares, one the first regular, full-time Rocky Horror performing groups on the West Coast. He also became a member of The Tiffany Troupe at the legendary Tiffany Theater in West Hollywood, CA, performing there from 1980 to 1983. He is widely credited as being the first "shaved headed Riff-Riff" in the Rocky Horror community. He became member of The Tiffany Troupe at the legendary Tiffany Theater in West Hollywood, CA, performing there from 1980 to 1983. He was also one the first Shock Treatment performers to play Cosmo at the Tiffany Theater in 1982. He was a well-known handyman with extraordinary skills and attention to detail. He almost won in a costume contest. He returned to the Rocky Horror community in 1990 remained active until his death on November 26, 2015. His remains were placed at The Roxy Theater, the Tiffany Theater, and in various other Rocky Horror locations in Southern California.
