"Queen" George as Riff-Raff with The Tiffany Troupe circa 1979

George Hamilton (195?-1985) was a first-generation, American Rocky Horror fan.

History

George Hamilton was possibly the most beloved cast member at the Tiffany Theater from 1977-1980.

Early cast members thought of George as somewhat of an informal greeting committee, as he took the time to get to know everyone he met. He had a larger than life personality, and was warm and friendly, and had a terrific sense of humor. On a darker note, George also added to his popularity by selling "disco biscuits" to folks on line, making him very popular with "that type."

George was the resident Rocky, and was seen most nights running around in his gold lame shorts. In the earlier, more free-form days of the troupe, he occasionally filled in as Riff-Raff, Janet or whoever was needed.

George was also legendary at the Tiffany for his artistic skills. He made a lithographed portrait of Frank-N-Furter that was displayed in the theater lobby from 1978 until 1983 that was initially available for purchase until supplies ran out in 1980.

George was an early victim of the AIDS virus, and was lost before the "gay cancer" had a proper name.
