Costuming
Mina began making her own costumes in 1988, which led to making costumes for her friends on The Bel-Air Cast. After the Bel-Air Theater closed (February, 1992) Mina started a cast at the River Oaks Theatre (June, 1992) where she made a complete set of costumes for the new cast. She left for college in August and returned in 1998 to start (and costume) another cast - The Beautiful Creatures (I). As the internet expanded in the late 90's she offered her costumes for sale online, specializing primarily in Columbia, Magenta and Janet Weiss costumes. She became overextended in 2001 which led to a hiatus until she returned to the scene in 2006.
In 2009 she began a blog, Columbia's Closet, to illustrate her costuming techniques and research. She was the 2011 recipient of The Boss Award for her informational website. In 2013 she began to shift her sewing endeavors to historical costuming and was no longer taking Rocky Horror (or reproduction) commissions.
