Built in 1926. Operated by Landmark since 1989. A short drive north of the Stanford Shopping Center, the Guild Theatre is nestled right next to Downtown Menlo Park, two blocks south of Santa Cruz Ave on El Camino Real. The Guild features the finest in independent film and foreign language cinema. Originally built as a burlesque house and converted to exhibit movies in the 1930s, it is one of the oldest standing theatres on the S.F. Peninsula, featuring two giant golden wings on either side of its gloriously large screen.
