In The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Denton is the town where Brad Majors, Janet Weiss, Dr. Everett Von Scott, Ralph Hapschatt, and Betty Munroe live.
In Shock Treatment, all of the action in the film takes place in a Denton TV studio. The song "Denton U.S.A.", and the reality TV series "Dentonvale" which appear in the film are named after Denton.
