It was part of the ABC Theater chain known as Plitt Theaters in the 1970s. Shortly after the brief run, the theater was split into two and later three screens. The theatre was closed in 1995. In 1996, the Parkway Theatre became The Good Guys electronics store.

Shortly after the brief run, the theater was split into two and later three screens. The theatre was closed in 1995. In 1996, the Parkway Theatre became The Good Guys electronics store. More recently, it became a 99 Ranch Market.
