Cast History
- Formed from the remnants of the Oritani Theater cast in 1979, the cast caught on quickly and attracted a loyal following and, fortunately for the cast, the devotion of theater owner Nelson Eddy Page. When the theater closed for renovation in 1982, Mr. Page moved the show to the awesome Bergenfield Theater a one-time Vaudeville house turned single-theater movie palace. Unfortunately, the cast couldn't draw crowds large enough to fill the theater, so they were moved to the smaller Closter Theater where they couldn't even draw flies. Undaunted, the cast stayed together playing college gigs, odd nights in various theaters and shows in bars like Charlie's West. On nights they didn't perform anywhere, they went to shows at the 8th Street Playhouse where some cast members caught the attention of Sal Piro and were accepted into the 8th Street Players. The remaining cast members went on to "get real lives".
